Speech Language Pathology
Auditory Outreach SLPs will provide the following services, as needed, for schools and families when not already available in the student’s school or community:

Assessment

  • Language development
  • Speech/phonology development and production
  • Voice/prosody
  • Oral motor
  • Social language and pragmatics
  • Listening skills

Written Documentation

  • Assessment for use in IEP and case conferences
  • Progress reports when appropriate

Consulting

  • Suggesting activities and materials for habilitation and assessment
  • Providing access to recent research
  • Providing information about current best practice and methods

Mentoring

  • Training SLPs in hands-on intervention
  • Inservice for school personnel

Loaning equipment

  • Loaning assessment tools and materials as appropriate(ie. SPICE)

Therapy offered

  • Speech therapy with visual feedback technology if required in consultation and collaboration with school based SLP
