The Human Resources Department strives to recruit and retain exemplary employees who will work together to help all our learners achieve their potential. To achieve this goal we work very closely with our employees, their union representatives, and their supervisors. We also work to ensure that policies, procedures and collective agreements are properly administered in a consistent and effective manner.
The Human Resources Department coordinates the day-to-day personnel functions required for all of the district’s 300+ employees: teachers, support staff, principals/vice-principals, and exempt staff. Department responsibilities include recruitment, orientation, administration of benefits, employee wellness, posting and filling, leaves, replacement of absent employees, and labour relations.
