MyEducation BC Parent Portal Access

The parent portal will allow access to see report cards and other information for your child(ren). Each parent or guardian will their own separate account, provided we have an individual email address on file for you. If your email addresses are the same, only one account will be created for your family.

To access the parent portal: 

  1. www.myeducation.gov.bc.ca/aspen  (Bookmark this site)
  2. Make sure you do not have a pop-up blocker turned on in your browser
    • If using a mobile device ensure that you do not block pop ups. On iOS devices go to Settings > Safari > Turn off “Block Pop ups”
  3. Your account information will come via the email provided to the school. Watch for an email from sysadmin@myeducation.gov.bc.ca which will contain your username and login.  If you have any question please contact parentsupport@sd47.bc.ca for account assistance. DO NOT reply to the "sysadmin" email as this is a system generated account and we will not receive your reply 

When you are ready to login to the system for the first time:

  1. Enter the username and password provided in the "sysadmin" email
  2. You will be prompted to change your password and provide security information for future password retrieval. Again, if you are on a mobile device please make sure that popups are not blocked. 
  3. Once inside the parent portal you can navigate around to view information for your child(ren).

    If you do not have internet access at your home please contact the school to arrange for alternate report card arrangements.

    • Who should I contact if I run into any problems with my account?
      If you continue to have login issues please email parentsupport@sd47.bc.ca. Note that account adjustments should take approximately 1 working day to be resolved however it will depend on the demand of questions and issues being received by the support team.
    • Who do I talk to if I have questions or concerns about the parent portal?
      Should you have any questions or concerns about the parent portal please do not hesitate to contact us parentsupport@sd47.bc.ca. Good luck logging into the system and we hope this tool helps to further communicate your child(s) learning.
    • What is the website address for the parent portal?
      The link is https://www.myeducation.gov.bc.ca/aspen .
    • What are the password requirements for Parent Portal?
      All passwords must contain a minimum of 8 charters (Max 14), 1 capital letter, 1 lowercase letter,1 number,1 special character ( # / $ / _ / ! ). Cannot contain the password, first name, middle name last name or date of birth of the user Samples of acceptable password: Jan2017$ / Snow999! / Welcome1$
    • How many incorrect password attempts am I allowed?
      5 incorrect attempts will disable your account. Please use the "I forgot my password" link if you have login problems.
    • How long will my temporary password last?
      Your temporary password will expire after 90 days. Ensure that you login at least once prior to your password expiration.
    • Do pop-up blockers need to turned off?
      Yes, please ensure that your pop-up blocker is turned off. For mobile devices you can turn off your pop-up blocker in your app settings. You may also find success in requesting the Desktop Site in your browser.
