Classic FM is the term coined to describe FM technology where the decibel (dB) gain is constant.Ā Typically through classic FM technology the speakerās voice is amplified by 10dB, regardless of the level of background noise

Two Types of Classic FM
Ā
Fixed-Channel
FM transmittersĀ that are fixed onĀ only one channel (FM frequency)
May be selected because there are no other students in the school with a personal FM system or no classrooms with sound field systems.
Ā
Multi-Channel
Channel can be changed on the FM transmitter
Important when there are other students in the school using personal FM systems or sound field systems.Ā
