Bridge Building Competition at Brooks Secondary

The annual Bridge Building Competition for Grade 8 students took place yesterday. With support from an incredible team of volunteers from the BC Society of Engineering and Geoscientists, who travelled to Brooks Secondary from Vancouver Island, students designed and constructed popsicle-stick bridges and then tested their strength using a custom-built load-bearing machine. Congratulations to all the students who participated, to the teachers for organizing such a great day of learning, and to the volunteers for sharing their time and expertise.
