Book it to Brooks is back!
Grade 6/7 students across our elementary schools are invited to join the annual reading adventure organized by qathet School District librarians! Students are challenged to read 4 out of 10 selected titles before coming together for a morning of book-themed activities and celebration on April 25th at the Brooks Library. Each school has copies of the featured books available, and students can connect with their school librarian to learn more and get started. Below is the list of books that are part of this year’s Book it Brooks selection:
- Insignificant Events in the Life Of a Cactus by Dusti Bowling
- Weird Rules to Follow by Kim Spencer
- The Crossover by Kwame Alexander
- The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind by William Kamkwamba
- Ghost by Jason Reynolds
- A Work In Progress by Jarrett Lerner
- A Place at the Table by Saadia Faruqi & Laura Shovan
- Too Bright Too See by Kyle Lukoff
- Drawn Across Borders by George Butler
- On Being Yukiko by Jeff Chiba Stearns
Get a head start on the book adventure and begin reading one of these titles over the holidays!
