On Saturday, representatives from School District #47 and others in the community joined in the Tla'amin Nation celebration of the enactment of their treaty. Hegus Clint Williams was presented with a sculpture that was commissioned by the Board and created by retired teacher, Ed Oldfield.
The juvenile chinook salmon represents the children of Tla'amin Nation. The four herring represent the four pillars of learning as defined by UNESCO - Learning to know, Learning to do, Learning to be, Learning to live together
