Journée nationale de l’immersion française / National French Immersion Day
Celebrated annually on the fourth Wednesday of April in Canada, as designated by the Association canadienne des professionnels de l'immersion (ACPI), this day highlights the value of bilingualism and recognizes the educators, students, and families who support French Immersion programs.
This morning, two Grade 12 French Immersion students from Brooks Secondary visited James Thomson Elementary to connect with younger students and encourage them to continue their French learning journey. They presented French classes with a poster created by the Brooks French Club, a reminder of the many reasons to say “oui” to French. These posters will also be going up around Brooks Secondary to help bring awareness to the program and celebrate the language!
