qSD Choir Students Share the Stage with The Collective Singers from Namibia, Africa
Approximately 170 choir students from Kelly Creek Community School, Westview Elementary, Edgehill Elementary, Henderson Elementary, James Thomson Elementary, and Brooks Secondary gathered at the Max Cameron Theatre for a special experience with The Collective Singers, an internationally renowned choir from Namibia, Africa.
Students listened to several of the choir’s songs from the audience before joining them on stage to sing “Kaana Kameme,” a song they had been learning in music class. Thank you to The Collective Singers for sharing their time and talent, and to the qathet School District music teachers who make these experiences possible for students.
Tonight, the Brooks Chamber Choir will open for The Collective Singers, who are performing at 7pm at the Max Cameron Theatre. Tickets are still available if you’re looking for a great evening of music!
