A Intelligence
It may be Artificial... it may be Augmented... it may be something Alternative... but we can agree that AI's interconnectivity with our lives is only becoming more transparent. It's always been there, but now it's appearing in more and more places - including influencing schooling works - much as calculators created debates 50 years ago, and paper tablets (aka books) 500-ish years ago We may repeat debate topics about how this technology is once again 'ruining things' for learners as they are too distracting and enabling more cheating... until they become mainstays of 'how' we take on learning to do even better. It will be interesting to see how the evolution of personal screens and AI and education flows in the next years...
Here are some shares about how AI can be used as a means of collaboration... it does not work best when it 'does the job for you' but it does enjoy being part of a partnership/group to help:
* prompt a way to start an activity;
* edit the work you have done;
* provide immediate feedback compared to a rubric;
* check your own knowledge
* create data and information you did NOT ask for and is NOT necessarily accurate (much like using a calculator, you can't just push buttons and assume what is provided is accurate and perfect... an important job of the future is asking good questions. But that means you also need to be a good estimator to make sure that the data provided is good data...
