Optional School Supply Program for 2026/2027
As we prepare for the upcoming school year, qathet School District is offering an optional school supply program for K-7 students, designed to make back-to-school preparation easier for families while ensuring students have consistent, classroom-ready materials.
How does it work?
Families can choose between two options:
1. Participate in the program
- Pay a flat fee of $30 per student
- The school purchases supplies based on classroom learning needs and organization
- Supplies are provided directly for your child’s classroom
2. Purchase supplies independently
- Receive a teacher-specific supply list from the school
- Purchase supplies on your own
Participation is completely optional.
What happens next/how do I sign up?
Families will receive an email with a form from their school principal by no later than August 31st. The form will provide an opportunity to indicate whether you would like to take part in the program.
If you choose to take part, the school will buy supplies based on classroom learning needs and organization. If you choose not to take part, a school list will go home on the first day of school.
Our goal is to simplify the back-to-school process, reduce unnecessary purchasing, and help ensure students arrive on the first day ready to learn.
If you have questions or need support with school supply costs, please contact your school confidentially. No student will go without supplies due to financial concerns.
