Second District Cross Country Meet Brings Together 308 Runners

Last Thursday, 308 students in Grades 2-8 from Edgehill Elementary, Westview Elementary, Henderson Elementary, James Thomson Elementary, Kelly Creek Community School, and PIE came together for the district’s second fall cross country meet, hosted by Henderson Elementary. Fun fact: This was the first Henderson cross country run in 10 years to have sunshine!

A big thank you to the two students from Brooks and four players from the Powell River Kings who volunteered as pace bunnies. They did an amazing job leading the races, cheering on students, and encouraging every runner to keep going, do their best, and make it across the finish line.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the meet such a great experience for our students, and congratulations to all 308 participants!
